Profile Information

What is your location?
Leamington, United Kingdom
What is your profession?
Training and Performance Company.

Jo Cameron is founder and Director of her own High Performance Academy. She is a well-known businesswoman and media personality. She is a qualified coach, HR professional and has academic achievements to Masters Degree Level. Her company works with many blue chip clients to improve the position of women at work and to increase overall employee performance levels.

Setting up her first company in 2004, after being made redundant, her high performing career took off to new heights. In 2006 she beat off 10 000 other hopefuls to secure her place in the hugely successful TV show The Apprentice. What made her famous was her sincerity, her passion and her ability to stand up for what she believed in. She made so much of an impact that she was commissioned to write the official BBC Apprentice column the following year.

Later that year her life took a very tragic turn and since then she has become dedicated to helping people survive adversity and developed her own process to guide people. She trademarked it Bouncebackability. She also offers this to companies as a keynote speech.

Her company has helped thousands of people, through her seminars, talks and coaching processes, to reach much higher levels of achievement. From professional sports people to business owners; from sales staff to people in the medical profession, her programmes bring demonstrable results.

In the commercial world her views are frequently sought by the decision makers in the UK Parliament, by Local Governments and by a plethora of FTSE 100 companies including High Street Banks and consulting firms.

Her WOW programme for helping women’s progression rates runs in a number of public sector bodies and private organisations. Her motivational programme Bouncebackability is also being turned into a book.

What's it like waiting for baby

My heads in a spin and its buzzing like a bee. There is nothing in the diary as it’s been cleared just in case. I wake each day to think that today is the day. Each day I count the minutes, each minute I count the seconds. Sometimes I get a rumble in my tummy and I think that it’s all systems go. Sometimes I get other signs that tell me she is on her way. Each one is a false alarm that picks me up then drops me like a stone. “I thought this was it” but then it all stops. I eagerly look for signs… Continue

Power Walking with Pavarotti’s belly – believe in yourself

“You won’t get pregnant you are not ovulating,” “you will never find love at 37,” “how on earth are you going to beat 10 000 others to be on The Apprentice?”, “you have no chance of winning the Weakest Link because you were voted off first last time and you have no knowledge of popular culture”, “your book has been rejected by 80 publishers, it’s is doomed”, “women’s events in a recession you have to be joking!”

These were all the things swimming around in my head on my early morning walk. It w… Continue

24 weeks pregnant with a tear in my eye ...

When I looked at the clock it was 830pm. I had dozed off. I was in bed wrapped in my duvet crunched into a little ball, hugging my tummy to keep it safe.
It was sunny outside and the rays streamed in through the bedroom window. The birds were tweeting and there was a gentle buzz of people enjoying the sun outside.
Late that afternoon I’d had a wobble; a blip in my resolve, a crack in my armour. It had been a normal day of meetings and business. I had been up early and on the go as usual. In the… Continue

I'm not feeling myself today

But then who is me today?

I am going through another major shift in my life. I’m entering another new chapter, shedding another skin and turning another new, previously undiscovered corner. Today I’m breaking through and it feels a little strange. I’m back out of my comfort zone and as I emerge through the next window, I discover aspects of me that have hidden dormant, waiting to be awoken. Little corners of my insides that have rested untapped. Little pockets of growth that have waited patient… Continue
